El artículo busca identificar cómo el itinerario constituyente se está configurando en Chile para que sea participativo, representativo e inclusivo de todos los sectores de la sociedad, y con esas premisas sintetizar cómo se delineó en Chile la primera convención paritaria del mundo. Para ello, se formula una descripción del iter constituyente en curso, se detallan los principales argumentos expuestos ante el poder de reforma que permitieron una modificación que estableció la opción por un órgano constituyente con una integración equilibrada de hombres y mujeres. Asimismo, se proyectan los desafíos de la Convención paritaria para transitar desde una representación descriptiva a una representación sustantiva de género.
