Abstract
O tabagismo é uma doença crônica, caracterizado pelo consumo excessivo de produtos à base de tabaco, sendo causada pela dependência a nicotina. Ainda no ano de 2021, o tabaco representa um dos maiores insultos para a saúde pública do mundo pela sua alta prevalência e distribuição. É a segunda droga mais usada pela humanidade, ficando atrás apenas do álcool e na frente da Cocaína, está relacionado a doenças crônicas como câncer de pulmão, câncer de laringe, enfisema pulmonar, entre outras, representado custos de milhões de dólares nos sistemas de saúde.
