Varios casos de corrupción que vinculan a compañías nacionales y extranjeras han salido a la luz en los últimos años, revelando la vulnerabilidad de las instituciones públicas. Al mismo tiempo, Ecuador ha demostrado su interés en atraer inversión extranjera a través de distintas iniciativas. Este artículo expone y sugiere la necesaria relación que debe existir entre la política nacional de atracción de inversión extranjera y la política mundial anticorrupción como un posible mecanismo que fomenta el desarrollo económico y social del país.
