Abstract
Bu çalışmanın konusu, ön yüzlerinde Herakles başı, gemi pruvası, yıldız bezemeli kalkan ya da Phryg miğferli baş tasvir edilen, arka yüzlerinde ve yakın varyantları olan bir monogram taşıyan sikkelerden, ön yüzünde Phryg miğferli baş yer alan gümüş sikke örneğidir. 18. yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren numismatik literatürü içerisinde ve müzayedelerde karşımıza çıkmasına karşın kesin bir darphane atfı yapılamayan bu sikkeler, yakın zamanlı bir çalışmada Kilikia kentlerinden Nephelis’e atfedilmiştir. Halihazırda yeni örnekleri, özellikle müzayedelerde satışa çıkmasına karşın darp yeri için farklı öneriler getirilmektedir. Burada, Nagidos darbı olabileceği ileri sürülen söz konusu gümüş sikkenin tıpkı diğerleri gibi Nephelis darbı olduğu üzerine bir tartışma sunulmaktadır.
