Cette étude s’intéresse aux usages de on dans le discours des jeunes enfants et dans le discours qui leur est adressé. L’analyse d’un corpus d’interactions familiales a mis en évidence que l’enfant est fréquemment exposé à on mais qu’il l’emploie dans des proportions moins importantes que l’adulte. Plusieurs pistes sont envisagées dans l’article pour éclairer ces différences. Les emplois de on dépendent de facteurs fonctionnels et formels : les références des occurrences de on , la construction lexico-syntaxique associée, la fonction des énoncés et le type d’activité impactent, à différents degrés, dans le discours de l’adulte ou de l’enfant, les usages du pronom.
