Abstract
Partant d’une herméneutique des idéologies présentes dans la revue L’Acayen (1972-1976), nous offrons dans cet article une interprétation contextualisée des débats idéologiques qui ont animé la fratrie militante acadienne de la première moitié des années 1970. Après avoir historicisé l’origine du périodique, l’analyse de contenu et de la classification par thèmes des articles du périodique nous mène à offrir une périodisation des orientations idéologiques, et de leurs déclinaisons, de L’Acayen, qui évoluent en tandem entre néonationalisme et socialisme. Né dans le sillon des idées de la décolonisation, qui avaient initialement arrimé les enjeux nationaux aux enjeux économiques, le périodique prend peu à peu ses distances de l’idéologie néonationaliste en faveur d’une orientation socialiste, voire marxiste-léniniste au moment où il se saborde. En somme, l’étude de L’Acayen ouvre une fenêtre fascinante sur les débats et les projets qui ont animé la petite société acadienne de l’époque, engagée et prospective.
