Abstract
A recent study conducted in Canada found that doses that are too low can cause patients to drop out of treatment with methadone or buprenorphine. For the study, researchers used data on all individuals in the province of British Columbia who received treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) with methadone (73.9% of patients), buprenorphine (24.7%) or slow‐release morphine (1.4%), which is legal for treatment in Canada.
