Abstract
Alors que la première génération de l’Oulipo se concentrait sur les contraintes algorithmiques, certains membres plus récents ont écrit de plus longues oeuvres à l’aide de contraintes géométriques, notamment Italo Calvino et Michèle Audin. Dans Le città invisibili (1972) et Mai quai Conti (2014), ces deux auteurs oulipiens utilisent les structures géométriques afin d’aborder des sujets qui échappent à l’ordre représenté par une telle structure. En combinant mathématiques et littérature, ces deux auteurs s’efforcent de réconcilier l’idéal (la forme) et le hasard qu’il ordonne (le fond), dévoilant un résultat inattendu du projet mathématique de l’Oulipo.
