Abstract
Trois termes couvrent en anglais l’aire sémantique du “passeur” : ferrier (ou ferryer), ferryman et smuggler. On peut y associer un quatrième nom, qui relève davantage de la notion de médiation mais n’est pas sans rapport avec le passeur : le terme de go-between popularisé par le film de Joseph Losey (Le Messager), Grand Prix du Festival de Cannes en 1971.
