En partant de la question foncière comme base du discours identitaire informé par la subjectivité identitaire et collective de l’écrivain francophone tel Félix Couchoro, au Togo, ou telle Déwé Gorodé, en Nouvelle-Calédonie, il devient possible de formuler chez Félix Couchoro une identité « francophone » qui se définit en opposition au fondement historique et colonial de telle définition. Chez les deux écrivains s’activent ainsi les torts de l’histoire coloniale à l’encontre de la « terre » qui porte l’individu et sa conception, ontologique, de soi. Les motifs culturels, telle la culture de l’igname et son symbolisme socio-discursif et métaphysique, chez Déwé Gorodé et dans la culture kanak, en Nouvelle-Calédonie, ou le couscous traditionnel, yèkè-yèkè, et son symbolisme historique pour le peuple Guin du Sud-est du Togo, chez Félix Couchoro, deviennent les lieux sémiotiques, géoculturels, de ce discours identitaire francophone à conceptualiser dans le sens de ses subjectivités d’intelligibilité.
