Abstract
Cet article tente de dégager les multiples significations d’un processus de changement religieux qui implique une partie considérable de la population autochtone colla de la région des vallées profondes (quebradas) et du haut plateau (puna) de la province de Jujuy, au nord-ouest de l’Argentine. L’auteure expose les rapports entre les aspects traditionnels de leur société et de leur vision du monde et des éléments introduits par de nouvelles options religieuses. Malgré la continuité qu’on peut observer entre certains éléments nouveaux et anciens, l’ensemble du processus est défini surtout comme une tendance à la désethnification, qui sera mieux comprise à la lumière de l’opposition entre groupe ethnique et nation.
