Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This chapter presents a case scenario of a 37-year-old woman who is severely injured in a motor vehicle accident and is brought to the Emergency Department with complaints of pelvic pain. Temporary stabilization is crucial for the survival of patients with a life-threatening pelvic ring injury. Reducing blood loss is crucial for the survival of patients with a pelvic injury and hemodynamic instability. In conjunction with bone stabilization, there are two possible methods of hemorrhage control: pre-peritoneal pelvic packing and angioembolization (AE). Patients with pelvic fractures are at high risk for both bleeding and deep vein thrombosis. Use of inferior vena cava filters in patients with contraindications to chemical prophylaxis may result in a decreased rate of PE with an acceptable complication rate. The chapter also provides recommendations for implementing evidence-based practice in the clinical setting.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
