Abstract
Les angoisses que vit le citadin contemporain sont le produit des changements incessants qui touchent les milieux urbains. La ville devient de moins en moins saisissable. Par conséquent, toute tentative de la représenter génère des invraisemblances. La présente étude est une approche comparative de trois villes, Rivière-du-Loup (Canada), New-York (États-Unis) et Tokyo (Japon), décrites successivement dans le roman de Nicolas Dickner, Tarmac. Cette analyse s’attachera à montrer le mal-être né des transformations inquiétantes des villes contemporaines.
