Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Of the many exhibitions in which Diana Dabinett, painter of this month's cover art, Hollow Cove, has participated, an anecdote from one summarizes much of what is important to her in conveying the meaning of art to her viewers. A noted exhibit, "Pathways," was held in St John's, provincial capital of Newfoundland, Canada. To publicize the exhibit, the local weather forecaster was invited. Dabinett had contributed 65 silk banners of a coastal trail walk to this exhibition that toured numerous galleries in Eastern Canada. The works created alleyways for the visitor to explore. The forecaster was somewhat startled when he was asked to take off his shoes so that he could walk across the steppingstones to cross the river. In many ways, this moment reflected the question of what is real, what is memory, and what is illusion-along with a touch of humor and whimsy.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
