Les statistiques publiées sous le titre Statistiques bancaires – Comptes des banques comprennent des données relatives aux banques à charte canadiennes assujetties à la Loi sur les banques, aux coopératives de crédit et aux caisses populaires constituées sous le régime des lois provinciales ainsi qu'aux sociétés de fiducie et autres institutions de dépôt et de prêt constituées sous le régime d'une loi fédérale ou provinciale, selon le cas. On retrouvera dans les tableaux présentés des données relatives à l'ensemble des institutions en question depuis 1988. Pour les années antérieures à 1988, seules les données sur les banques à charte sont disponibles.
