Un texte de Freud, « Ein Kind wird geschlagen » : « Un enfant est battu », publié en 1919, représente généralement le texte paradigmatique de référence sur la question du fantasme, dans l’optique freudienne, en même temps qu’il ouvre sur tout un pan théorique et analytique à propos de la relation entre sémiotique et psychanalyse. Dans ce texte, l’analyse freudienne n’est plus systématisée en fonction du modèle de l’interprétation du rêve, mais propose un autre modèle d’analyse où vient jouer l’articulation entre sujet de l’énonciation et sujet de l’énoncé, logique grammaticale et logique du fantasme, quand le fantasme se résume à une formule qui lui donne une forme verbale cependant tronquée ou elliptique. Parce qu’elle est envisagée sous l’angle de sa forme verbale, la formule du fantasme semble communiquer directement avec le fantasme tel qu’on le trouve sur le plan de l’écriture. Cependant, c’est aussi à partir de là qu’un certain nombre de questions se posent. Partant de l’oeuvre autobiographique de l’écrivain japonais Yukio Mishima, Confession d’un masque, publié en 1949, cet article propose de mettre à l’épreuve les points de contact, mais aussi les points de rupture, entre la formule du fantasme, telle que Freud se la représente, et la déliaison littéraire du fantasme, telle qu’on la trouve dans l’oeuvre de Mishima.
