Abstract Property, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930) Kimco Realty is a self‐administered real estate investment trust that owns and operates neighborhood and community shopping centers. As of Feb 6 2006, Co. had interests in 1,046 properties, totaling approximately 135.5 million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA) located in 44 states, Canada and Mexico. In addition, Co. manages 11 properties totaling 1.7 million square feet of GLA on behalf of third party owners. Co.'s ownership interests in real estate consist of its consolidated portfolio, portfolios where it owns an economic interest, and other properties or portfolios where it also retains management.
