Plusieurs élèves sont peu motivés à rédiger un texte. Le clavardage apparaît être un outil pouvant les soutenir en contexte d’écriture. L’objectif de cette recherche est de décrire la motivation d’élèves québécois du secondaire en difficulté lors de l’écriture d’un texte individuel à l’ordinateur et un texte collaboratif avec le clavardage. Les participants ont complété des questionnaires évaluant leur motivation à écrire. Leurs réponses ne nous permettent pas d’affirmer que les élèves sont plus motivés dans un contexte d’écriture que dans un autre. Néanmoins, elles ont montré qu’ils sont plus nombreux à avoir aimé écrire lors de la tâche qui s’est déroulée avec le clavardage.
