Although the growing impact of digital innovation at the enterprise level is known, little is known about the adoption of digital technologies in business networks. What are the most popular digital technologies and which business networks are most likely to adopt them? The chapter describes the diffusion of nine technologies in business networks in relation to their type, activity, composition, age and size. Two specific insights concern the ability of digital technologies (1) to ease the achievement of certain performance objectives and (2) to foster the resilience of the network with respect to shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
