[2937-05-5] C6H7N3O4S (MW 217.21) InChI = 1S/C6H7N3O4S/c7-8-14(12,13)6-3-1-5(2-4-6)9(10)11/h1-4,8H,7H2 InChIKey = QSFQGKRLZCXSPE-UHFFFAOYSA-N (reagent for the synthesis of sulfonyl hydrazone and N-heterocycles and CC, CN, CS, NS, and SS bond formation) Physical Data: mp 150–152 °C.1 Solubility: DMSO, THF; insoluble in water, Et2O, and hexanes.2 Form Supplied in: white solid; not commercially available. Preparative Method: the title reagent can be prepared from 4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride and hydrazine monohydrate in a water/THF mixture2 or in two steps from sulfonic acid and CDI and then hydrazine monohydrate heated in MeCN.3 Purification: suspended in Et2O and filtered.2 Handling, Storage, and Precautions: no specific precaution.
