Preparative Method: the title reagent can be prepared from 4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride and hydrazine monohydrate in a water/THF mixture2 or in two steps from sulfonic acid and CDI and then hydrazine monohydrate heated in MeCN.3 Purification: suspended in Et2O and filtered.2 Handling, Storage, and Precautions: no specific precaution.
