Abstract
Cet article examine les perceptions de jeunes judiciarisés sous la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents (LSJPA) à l’égard des suivis pénaux présents lors de leur transition vers l’âge adulte. Plus précisément, l’objectif est de saisir leurs regards sur les formes de soutien pénal visant leur réinsertion sociale lors de leur passage vers l’âge adulte. Pour ce faire, cet article analyse les points de vue des jeunes judiciarisés et leur réception de l’action publique. Il mobilise les données qualitatives récoltées au cours d’entrevues menées auprès de quinze jeunes judiciarisés sous la LSJPA. Les résultats montrent que trois types d’effets des mesures sociojudiciaires coexistent lors de leur transition vers l’âge adulte. Ancrés dans une visée de réhabilitation croisant réadaptation et responsabilisation individuelle, ils sont avant tout marqués par leur double nature paradoxale et ambivalente.
