Le fonds d’archives Menie Grégoire (66J) est aujourd’hui conservé aux Archives départementales d’Indre-et-Loire. Entre 1967 et 1981, la journaliste et animatrice radiophonique Menie Grégoire a construit un espace de parole et d’écoute sur les ondes de RTL mais aussi dans la boite aux lettres de la radio où les témoignages de femmes, et parfois d’hommes, arrivaient par dizaines. Plus de 80 000 lettres et de 2000 bandes sonores magnétiques sont conservées et accessibles au public. Ces archives constituent aujourd’hui dans le champ de l’histoire sociale et des études du genre des traces inédites du langage quotidien des femmes qui s’expriment à une période singulière où la parole des femmes se libère sur des sujets tels que la contraception, la sexualité, l’exploitation par le travail domestique et reproductif, la retraite, l’éducation des enfants, etc. Ces archives renseignent aussi sur les dispositifs d’information, de communication et de mobilisation à l’œuvre dans une société donnée (correspondances épistolaires et témoignages radiophoniques). Pour cet article, nous avons souhaité donner la parole aux archivistes du service d’Archives départementales qui conservent ce fonds afin de remonter le fil et les traces de cette histoire d’archives.
