Les universitaires et les praticiens s’efforcent de comprendre les liens entre l’art militant et la création artistique (artivisme), d’une part, et l’activité et le comportement entrepreneuriaux, d’autre part, les considérant tous deux comme des catalyseurs de la transformation sociale. Nous explorons ici l’artivisme en tant qu’effectuation entrepreneuriale en relation avec l’inégalité du genre. Nous observons que les artivistes sensibilisent à la nature politique de la création artistique, en la présentant comme un moyen d’améliorer la société de bas en haut. En engageant l’affect, ils cherchent à engendrer des pratiques agissantes et participatives qui remettent en question les relations de pouvoir au sein de l’art, de la culture et de la société en général. Pour explorer cette question sous l’angle de l’effectuation, nous nous intéressons à une exposition sur l’inégalité du genre, produite en 2016 à Paris. Nous recréons l’exposition, toujours à Paris en 2018, avec 20 des 81 œuvres d’art originales pour analyser les réactions des observateurs à leur propre engagement. À partir des données, préliminaires dans leur forme, nous suggérons que l’artivisme pousse le public à envisager un changement de comportement par rapport à l’inégalité du genre, car la possibilité d’un nouveau comportement est exprimée de manière spontanément effectuale. Nous concluons que l’intégration de l’artivisme à l’entrepreneuriat pour redresser les inégalités a des effets positifs lorsque l’artivisme est conçu comme l’ouverture du domaine des possibilités pour soi et pour les autres, sans attente de résultats ou de gains.
