La présente contribution s’intéresse à l’importance des moments informels dans les échanges d’apprentissage professionnel et à leur influence sur l’apprentissage d’un métier. Après un cadrage théorique sur la notion d’informalité dans les interactions, nous proposons de présenter comment les interactions informelles entre pairs permettent de co-construire l’activité professionnelle. Cette recherche se base sur un corpus d’analyse de situations d’apprentissage dans un atelier d’Hygiène et Propreté en lycée professionnel. Nous montrons comment ces moments informels font en effet le lien entre les connaissances apprises avec l’enseignant et l’expérience de la première pratique professionnelle et peuvent à ce titre être conçus comme des temps de formation à part entière.
