Abstract
Femmes, hiérarchies, développement et recherche constituent les thèmes principaux de cet article qui s'arrête d'abord à la définition des femmes en général et en particulier dans le développement. Tout en soulignant l'importance de la prise en compte du quotidien, l'auteure illustre ensuite ses propos par des données sur la paysannerie du Yucatan rural, au Mexique. Elle tente de montrer comment la prise en compte des multiples dimensions de la vie des femmes remet en question l'approche actuelle du développement et remet en cause les différents concepts utilisés. Elle discute enfin des conséquences de ces remises en question pour la recherche dans le domaine des femmes et du développement.
