Abstract
This study investigates using microwave imaging (MWI) to identify valuable minerals or metals in ores and its potential application in sensor-based ore sorting in mineral processing. The confocal MWI algorithm is performed on ore models in full-wave microwave scattering simulations. The simulation results successfully verify the effectiveness of using MWI to potentially identify valuable minerals in ore samples.
