Abstract
Au Canada, le Code criminel rend possible l’instauration d’un programme de mesures de rechange général pour adultes depuis 1996. Au Québec, du 1er septembre 2017 au 31 mars 2019, pareil programme a été mis à l’épreuve sous forme de projet pilote dans trois districts judiciaires de la Cour du Québec. Afin de soutenir son implantation et de favoriser l’atteinte de ses objectifs, il fût accompagné d’une recherche descriptive et analytique, de sa conceptualisation à son opérationnalisation. Le présent article veut démystifier le Programme de mesures de rechange général pour adultes du Québec en exposant les résultats des premières analyses réalisées.
