Des « déclassements » volontaires ? Les déterminants de la mobilité subjective d’artisans reconvertis, par-delà les catégories socioprofessionnelles

Abstract
Alors qu’une approche de la mobilité sociale par les nomenclatures socioprofessionnelles pourrait conduire à y voir des formes de « déclassement volontaire », les bifurcations de membres de la catégorie des Cadres et Professions Intellectuelles Supérieures (CPIS) ou d’individus très diplômés (bac +5) vers des métiers artisanaux au recrutement social populaire invitent à interroger plus en détail la perception subjective de ces mobilités atypiques. Cet article vise à mettre en évidence l’absence de sentiment de déclassement chez ces reconvertis et les ressorts de leur mobilité subjective. Ce faisant, il est possible d’interroger le lien entre mobilité professionnelle et mobilité sociale, en mettant en évidence certaines logiques de requalification subjective des métiers artisanaux, l’émergence de nouveaux rapports à la mobilité professionnelle ainsi que l’articulation des catégories socioprofessionnelles avec des registres alternatifs de classement.
