L’article soulève la question de la pertinence des approches de laboratoire vivant (living lab) comme outils de développement territorial. Il se base sur la mise en oeuvre de trois laboratoires vivants dans le Bas-Saint-Laurent (Québec) pour la revalorisation agricole des terres en friche. L’analyse montre comment la dévitalisation affecte les capacités des communautés à se saisir de ce type de dispositif. Les auteurs appellent donc à l’approfondissement d’une conception ouverte du territoire et du développement dans laquelle les laboratoires vivants ruraux procurent des ressources exogènes pour aider les communautés à se remobiliser autour de la mise en valeur de leurs ressources spécifiques.
