Abstract
In this issue of JPEN, US gastroenterologists demonstrated a lack of knowledge in chronic intestinal failure when queried using a validated survey. Although rare, this disease carries substantial morbidity and mortality, with considerable healthcare resource utilization. The best outcomes are achieved by experienced teams, whose expertise can be drawn upon to develop needed continuing education.
