Après avoir envisagé la manière dont se construit le rapport à l’environnement naturel des enfants et des jeunes, cet article aborde différentes composantes de l’écocitoyenneté afin de mieux comprendre les enjeux environnementaux qui devraient être abordés à l'école. Pour cela, nous proposons une réflexion théorique sur différentes voies qui peuvent être empruntées pour encourager les enfants et les jeunes à adopter un agir environnemental responsable et leur donner l’envie de s’engager, individuellement et collectivement, tout au long de leur vie.
