Les environnements personnels d’apprentissage (EPA) constituent une façon d’utiliser les technologies à des fins d’apprentissage qui permet à l’apprenant d’être proactif afin d’identifier et de trouver de l’information pertinente, de collaborer avec des pairs et de produire différents artefacts. Ce caractère proactif fait appel à certaines compétences, dont l’autorégulation, l’apprentissage collaboratif et la résolution de problèmes. Bien que le rôle des EPA soit reconnu quand il est question d’apprentissage tout au long de la vie, leur utilisation en milieu organisationnel pose des difficultés, que ce soit en raison de la gestion centralisée de l’apprentissage ou d’enjeux liés à la sécurité des données. Cette recherche menée auprès de techniciens clientèle qui travaillent dans une entreprise de télécommunications canadienne cherche à repérer des activités qui favorisent l’apprentissage au moyen des EPA et à établir des liens avec l’autorégulation.
