Abstract
Parmi les œuvres juridiques léguées par l’Antiquité romaine, l’Enchiridion de Sextus Pomponius occupe une place à part, à la fois parce que c’est une des rares œuvres à nous être parvenues assez complète, mais aussi par sa nature très originale qui lui a valu sa place en tête du Digeste. Cet article se propose de revenir sur les interprétations et éditions de ce texte depuis l’époque moderne pour montrer qu’il a fait l’objet de lectures très contrastées, et pour attirer l’attention sur tout l’intérêt qu’il y aurait à en proposer une édition française commentée.
