Prospettivismo e modernismo: La rappresentazione del tempo nei racconti di Svevo

Abstract
Il saggio esamina il rapporto che intercorre tra la corrente filosofica detta prospettivismo e il modernismo al fine di rendere conto della natura contraddittoria di quest’ultimo. Il saggio si propone di giungere a questo scopo attraverso l’analisi della narrativa breve di Italo Svevo. La varietà dei racconti, spesso negletti dalla critica, permette di mostrare e teorizzare un prospettivismo sveviano ispirato dalla filosofia di Nietzsche e Schopenhauer e caratterizzato da una particolare rappresentazione prospettica del soggetto e del tempo. È questa natura prospettica, antiassolutistica e antidogmatica che permette di spiegare senza risolvere le contraddizioni costitutive del modernismo e, allo stesso tempo, di rivelare come attraverso queste potenzialità talora contrastanti del reale e dei soggetti che vi abitano, il fenomeno modernista parli ancora al mondo contemporaneo.
