Die Übernahme der Frische-Sparte von BMI durch Lactalis wurde an der Konzernspitze in Laval und nicht in Kehl entschieden, der Nutzen für das deutsche Geschäft ist für Wettbewerber schwer erkennbar. Der Umsatz des Weltkonzerns in Deutschland stieg schätzungsweise auf 1,4 Mrd. Euro.
