Abstract
Résumé Jean-Marc Ferry objectait à Cornelius Castoriadis que sa philosophie repose sur une décision ontologique arbitraire transgressant les limites de la critique kantienne de la raison. Dans cet article, je réponds à cette objection en commentant l'opération méthodologique sur laquelle repose l'ontologie de Castoriadis : l’élucidation. Je montre qu'elle ne dépasse pas les limites prescrites par la finitude kantienne et qu'elle lui permet de justifier ses concepts ontologiques. J'explique ensuite dans quelle mesure on peut qualifier la méthode de Castoriadis de « constructivisme enraciné » et quel est son apport pour les théories philosophiques constructivistes.
