Abstract
Objetivo: Investigar a prevalência e os fatores associados a fragilidade em idosos em atendimento ambulatorial. Método: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo transversal com uma abordagem quantitativa com 100 idosos. Para tanto, utilizou-se um instrumento estruturado, contendo questões relacionadas as características sociodemográficas, clínicas e a Escala de Fragilidade de Edmonton (EFS). A análise de dados foi realizada por meio de abordagem quantitativa através da estatística descritiva de natureza univariada para todas as variáveis e foram utilizados os Teste do Qui-quadrado e T Student. Resultados: Entre os resultados, 34% apresentaram fragilidade leve, seguida de 27%, aparentemente, vulnerável. Evidenciou-se as relações entre a fragilidade, a polifarmácia, idade avançada e baixa escolaridade. Conclusão: Embora com limitações, conclui-se que maioria dos entrevistados apresentaram fragilidade leve, além de relação estatisticamente significativa entre fragilidade leve e idade avançada, baixa escolaridade e polifarmácia, dessa forma, contribuindo para o avanço do conhecimento da área de Geriatria.
