Abstract
Cet article explore un besoin de formation commun à toutes les étapes de la carrière enseignante : celui d’être accompagné. C’est un regard intégrateur qui est jeté sur le processus d’apprentissage en contexte d’un savoir-enseigner, tout au long de la carrière, à partir des stages en formation initiale jusqu’aux étapes d’insertion professionnelle et de formation continue. L’accompagnement des stages y est présenté comme facteur central de liaison entre milieu de formation et milieu de travail. La première partie de l’article présente notre conception de l’accompagnement et en justifie l’importance pour l’évolution des pratiques enseignantes. Par la suite, nous décrivons comment notre conviction s’est construite à partir de l’analyse de notre expérience de responsables au sein de deux dispositifs de formation à l’enseignement, l’un en Suisse, l’autre au Québec. Enfin, une troisième partie est consacrée à la formation des personnes appelées à exercer un accompagnement.
