Abstract
Vous avez dit postcolonialisme ? Six articles de la revue Volume ! abordent depuis des focales diverses une perspective critique sur les notions de « proche » et de « lointain », depuis le terrain mondialisé des musiques populaires. Deux tribunes prolongent ce dossier : une lettre ouverte sur les « musiques noires » (premier texte publié en français du musicologue Philip Tagg), et un entretien avec Alexandre Laumonnier de Kargo, la maison d’édition au long cours. Enfin, cinq articles hors dossier (sur le punk au Québec, le metal, Albert Ayler et le free jazz en France, Noir Désir et Nurse With Wound) viennent compléter le numéro. Six articles of this issue apply the concept of postcolonialism to the analysis of popular music in its geographical and historical dimensions, and its relationship to questions of race and potscolonial influence. They are followed by a new French translation of Philip Tagg's open letter on "black" music and five articles on punk in Quebec, metal, Albert Ayler and free jazz in France, the French rock band Noir Désir and Nurse With Wound.
