Abstract
Madrasah mengalami perkembangan menggembirakan ditandai dengan kenaikan jumlah lembaga serta kenaikan jumlah siswanya. Namun, secara kualitas banyak yang perlu ditingkatkan agar bisa bersaing dengan sekolah. Adanya madrasah-madrasah unggul bisa dijadikan contoh baik dalam pelaksanaannya. Madrasah yang unggul memiliki manajemen yang baik, memiliki prestasi akademik dan non akademik yang baik juga. Kajian best practice ini dimaksudkan untuk mengungkapkan keberhasilan-keberhasilan madrasah unggulan dalam mengelola lembaga pendidikan. Hal ini penting untuk mengetahui potensi pengembangan madrasah menjadi lebih baik, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai model bagi madrasah lain untuk mengembangkannya. Kajian best practice madrasah diharapkan sebagai inspirasi yang akan menimbulkan ide-ide segar dan baru sebagai model bagi madrasah lain.
