Abstract
La longue histoire des divisions territoriales allemandes se traduit, dans une partie des traditions historiographiques, à la fois par la publication d'ouvrages de qualité consacrés à de petites régions et par des interrogations spécifiques, centrées sur les notions d'espace d'identification et de communauté structurante.Le présent recueil est particulièrement représentatif de ce courant, d'abord par son objet: le Kraichgau, région de Souabe organisée autour des petites villes d'Empire et des seigneuries de la chevalerie immédiate, cette corporation noble qui, dépendant institutionnellement de l'Empereur seul, se cristallise au début de l'époque moderne.
