Abstract
Exposition : Grands dessins Ecole des beaux-arts Marilyn I. Walker, St. Catharines, Ontario 18 octobre / 19 novembre 2016 Mon travail rassemble de grands dessins d’animaux et d’êtres humains, qui explorent leur relation au vêtement et à la nudité. Je m’intéresse au vêtement pour ses fonctions sociales et utilitaires, mais aussi pour ses qualités physiques en tant qu’objet et la façon dont il encadre le corps, et dont il cache ou révèle la forme humaine. Je considère le vêtement comme une enveloppe protectrice qui peut conférer autorité et statut tout en contenant le corps et la tête de manière restrictive et parfois absurde.
