Abstract Commercial Banking (MIC: 8.1 SIC: 6029 NAIC:522110) Bank of Montreal offers a broad range of credit and non‐credit products and services to individuals, industry, financial institutions and governments directly and through special‐purpose domestic and foreign subsidiaries. Co. operates 970 bank branches in Canada; and operates internationally in ten other countries. Through the Harris Bank group, Co. operates its own banking business in the U.S. and provides retail banking, private client, personal trust services, corporate and investment banking. Co. also provides a full range of investment dealer services through the BMO Nesbitt Burns group of companies. As of Oct 31 2003, Co.'s total assets amounted to approximately C$265.50 billion.
