De 1977 à̀ 1987, Mosaïque a été diffusé le dimanche matin sur FR3. Pensée comme une émission sur et pour les immigrés, elle devient au fil des années une porte ouverte sur les cultures de l’immigration. Invitant des artistes (musiciens, écrivains, etc.) à s’exprimer sur le plateau de l’émission, réalisant des reportages de société sur des thématiques comme la Marche pour l’égalité et contre le racisme, la vie dans les prisons lyonnaises, les violences policières, la place de l’immigration dans la construction de l’Europe, elle veut, selon les mots de son fondateur Tewfik Farès, « offrir un espace d’expression ».Les émissions font aujourd’hui partie des collections de la médiathèque Abdelmalek Sayad. En cours de numérisation, elles seront bientôt visibles à̀ la médiathèque. À cette occasion, nous revenons, dans un entretien avec Tewfik Farès (fondateur et réalisateur de l’émission) et Mouloud Mimoun (présentateur puis rédacteur en chef de l’émission), sur la naissance, le contenu et l’audience de l’émission.
