Abstract
Abstract Isauria was a region in the Taurus Mountains of southern Asia Minor. In the fourth century BCE , the term applied to the inland area (also described as southern Lykaonia) around the city of Isaura (Isaura Vetus; modern Bozkir). By the third century CE , Isauria was a Roman province extending from the Mediterranean coast up to the borders of Lykaonia.
