Abstract
La fine analyse de Meillet démontrant que la syntaxe grecque (et indoeuropéenne) est fondamentalement appositionnelle a récemment été confirmée par l’identification du grec (ancien) à une langue non configurationnelle — ou du moins au résidu d’une telle langue — avec sa typologie syntactique caractéristique : libre ordre des mots, discontinuité syntactique, omission de pronoms, structures paratactiques et richesse de la morphologie. Nous comparons les analyses de Meillet à de récentes études fondées sur la théorie syntactique et la typologie linguistique modernes. Nous proposons aussi un survol d’approches intermédiaires sur la typologie de l’ordre des mots, l’ergativité et l’analyse du discours.
