Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of polymorphism for rs316247861 in the myostatin gene in chickens from the population of experienced CS (n = 45). The frequencies of alleles and genotypes for the studied substitution were determined. The analysis of the association of the growth rate of chickens with the rs316247861 genotype in the myostatin gene was carried out. The greatest growth retardation was observed in CC homozygotes. At the same time, no significant differences were found between animals with different genotypes.
