Les relations entre attentes, valeur, buts, engagement cognitif et engagement comportemental dans un MOOC

Abstract
Dans le prsent article, nous nous intressons aux relations entre attentes, valeur, buts et engagement dans un MOOC universitaire de l'initiative Edulib. partir d'une perspective thorique globale fonde sur l'autorgulation et en utilisant un modle de motivation sociocognitif des attentes et de la valeur (Pintrich, 2003), nous analysons les liens entre motivation et engagement. Pour ce faire, nous utilisons les donnes de 531 rpondants un questionnaire distribu aux participants d'un MOOC de l'initiative Edulib (HEC Montral) portant sur l'introduction au marketing, offert l'automne 2014. Une analyse par correspondances multiples sur les activits rapportes nous a permis de concevoir un score composite d'engagement comportemental. Par la suite, nous utilisons une approche d'quations structurelles pour tester le modle thorique, aprs avoir oprationnalis tous les liens anticips entre les diffrentes variables. Nos rsultats suggrent un modle acceptable qui confirme plusieurs des prvisions thoriques. Ainsi, la valeur est lie aussi bien aux buts extrinsques qu'aux buts intrinsques, mais les buts intrinsques sont beaucoup plus fortement lis l'engagement cognitif que les buts extrinsques. Toutefois, aucune relation signi-ficative n'est observe entre l'engagement cognitif et l'engagement comportemental, ce qui soulve des questions de mesure, mais aussi des questions de nature thorique pour une clientle d'adultes participant un MOOC.
