Les Cahiers d'Humanisme et Renaissance publient les travaux de matrise d'un doctorant de l'Universit Laval, Qubec, dirigs par Michel De Waele, doyen de la Facult des lettres et des sciences humaines. L'auteur (dornavant J.R.S.-J.) se fixe pour objectif de revisiter, de Calvin Duplessis-Mornay, l'laboration thologico-politique des thories de l'obissance civile et du droit de rsistance au prince parmi les crits rforms franais, et leur articulation la revendication de fidlit Dieu. Ce petit volume, dont le propos s'agence en trois chapitres, comporte aussi un index et une bibliographie qui, selon les thmes, aurait mrit d'tre actualise (celle relative Calvin aurait gagn intgrer les rcentes tudes consacres la pense du rformateur).
