Abstract
Gut gerüstet: Mesoporöse Tantaloxide wurden mit 1.0 M Schwefelsäure behandelt und auf ihre katalytische Aktivität und Selektivität in der Synthese von 2-Phenylisomeren durch Alkylierung von Benzol mit sperrigen Olefinen getestet (siehe Schema). Das sulfatierte mesoporöse Tantaloxid zeigte ähnliche Aktivitäten wie Zeolith HY, bei jedoch sehr viel höherer Selektivität für 2-Phenyldodecan unter milden Bedingungen. Die hohe Aktivität und Selektivität wird durch die erleichterte Diffusion von sperrigen Reaktanten in den mesoporösen Gerüsten erklärt.
